Broad Arrow Las Vegas Auction Preview: 2003 Ferrari Enzo

The Ferrari Enzo stands among the most consequential automobiles to ever emerge from Maranello—a celebration of the marque’s storied history, Formula 1 engineering translated for the road, and an honorary tribute to Il Commendatore himself. This October, Broad Arrow returns to Wynn Las Vegas on 31 October for the second annual Las Vegas Auction, presenting collectors with the rare opportunity to acquire a sorted, driver-focused example of Ferrari’s turn-of-the-century hypercar, one ready to be driven exactly as its namesake intended.Ferrari's Formula 1 program had never been more commanding than it was in the summer of 2002. Michael Schumacher took the Drivers' Championship after only 11 Grands Prix, with the Constructors' title following close behind, and Ferrari launched the Enzo that same year to mark the achievement and to honor its founder.Publicly unveiled in September 2002 at the Paris Motor Show, the Enzo represents the singular, road-going expression of the engineering that had made Ferrari unbeatable in Formula 1 at the turn of the millennium. Composite construction was used throughout the monocoque and the body, much of it aluminum honeycomb, Nomex and carbon fiber sandwich panels and the carbon weave was left visible inside the cabin. Pininfarina's Ken Okuyama—whose signature this example carries—shaped the bodywork around an underbody diffuser in place of a rear wing, while pushrod-actuated dampers worked at all four corners. Brembo supplied carbon-ceramic discs of the kind used in Formula 1, which delivered enormous stopping power while cutting unsprung weight. The all-new 6.0-liter Tipo F140 B V12 was the first of a new engine family for Maranello, designed around four-valve combustion chambers and variable inlet timing to produce 651 horsepower. Its electro-hydraulic six-speed transmission shifted in roughly 150 milliseconds, with Sport and Corsa modes and launch control borrowed directly from the grand prix cars. Top speed was 217 mph, 60 mph arrived in 3.3 seconds and the car could run from rest to 124 mph and back to a standstill in 14.2 seconds.Completed at Maranello in February 2003 and finished in an all-red Rosso Corsa over Pelle Rossa livery, chassis number 131631 was among 111 Enzos originally dispatched to the United States of the 400 produced. Marque historian Marcel Massini records that the car was sold new on 13 May 2003 through Ferrari of Long Island in Plainview, New York, to its first owner. In July 2003, the Enzo passed to a second owner in Texas. It was during this ownership that a routine service uncovered a valvetrain issue known to affect a number of early Enzos, a flaw the factory advised their dealer network to watch for at the time. Upon discovery, Ferrari replaced the engine under warranty, shipping the original unit back to Maranello for analysis and fitting a complete replacement, number 73365. The substitution is documented in the car's Ferrari Classiche Red Book, which states "Engine replaced by Ferrari Spa in 2005.” For collectors seeking properly sorted driving examples, an Enzo that has already been through this process is often preferred to a low-mileage example still on its original engine, which has yet to accumulate the use that would reveal any hidden faults. In August 2006, chassis 131631 was acquired by a Nevada collector. Shortly afterward, while being transported to the owner's second home, it sustained some damage. Ferrari of Las Vegas subsequently carried out the repairs to factory specifications to the passenger side, the right-rear quarter panel, and the undertray. The damage was moderate enough that the car's CARFAX Vehicle History Report remains clean with no accidents or damage noted and the accompanying Classiche “Red Book” does not note any bodywork or chassis repairs. Ferrari of Las Vegas also carried out an exterior color change to Nero following the repairs, a color originally applied to just a dozen North American–delivery examples. The car passed through one further Nevada owner before leaving the United States. According to the Massini Report, it passed through several hands, moving through Monte Carlo, Vienna, and Switzerland before arriving in Munich, Germany in 2010. It was during this European chapter that a previous owner made the decision to return it to its original color, commissioning Carrozzeria Zanasi in Maranello to return the car to its original Rosso Corsa presentation. The interior, originally trimmed in Pelle Rossa, was retrimmed in Pelle Nera, a subtle yet appealing change that lends the red coachwork a more purposeful contrast. Few firms could have been better suited to the work. Established in Maranello in 1964 at Enzo Ferrari's own request and still a factory-authorized carrozzeria, Zanasi carries out much of the paintwork for Ferrari's special-order and Tailor Made programs and has finished the marque's limited-series flagships—which makes the refinishing of chassis 131631 a return to the very hands Maranello trusts with its most important cars, rather than a typical repaint. The present owner acquired chassis 131631 in 2024. Most recently, on 5 March 2026 at 17,159 miles, the car was serviced by Ferrari Dallas in Plano, Texas, where it received the annual fluid and filter service, a multi-point inspection, four new tires, a four-wheel alignment, a new battery, a replacement passenger-side dashboard air vent and cosmetic refinishing beneath the front bumper—addressing the light scraping common to cars of such minimal ground clearance. With Enzo values climbing so steeply in recent times, a great many of the 400 built now lead sedentary lives, delivery-mileage cars passed between private collections, admired and photographed but rarely exercised. Against that backdrop, chassis 131631 is an enticing proposition. Resplendent in its original Rosso Corsa finish, this is an Enzo that has been properly sorted, its known history addressed and resolved, leaving nothing to the imagination. Enzo Ferrari had little patience for travel as mere transport. Asked once about driving, he said that getting from one place to the next had never been the appeal: "I enjoy feeling the car's reactions, becoming part of it." Ferrari Classiche certified, comprehensively documented, freshly serviced by Ferrari Dallas and asking nothing of its next owner but to be driven, chassis 131631 is among the few Enzos genuinely prepared to be used the way its namesake intended. Enter it in the Cavalcade Classiche, run it on any of the marque's touring rallies, or simply drive it home from the sale.Join Broad Arrow in Las Vegas this October as a selection of modern Ferraris—examples that remain at the forefront of today’s collector car market—will be offered against the energetic backdrop of the city. Each offering represents an opportunity to acquire a significant piece of Maranello’s Formula 1 achievements distilled for the road. Broad Arrow Las Vegas Auction Preview: 1997 Ferrari F50

The F50 was by no means the first road car to draw on Formula 1 engineering, but when it was unveiled at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show in anticipation of Ferrari's 50th anniversary, it was arguably the most literal translation of Grand Prix technology to the street yet attempted. Road & Track's technical analysis described it as virtually a road-going version of the 333 SP, the multiple IMSA GT and FIA championship-winning sports-racer Ferrari had developed from its 1990 F1 program. Paul Frère, winner of the 1960 24 Hours of Le Mans, wrote in the magazine that company president Luca di Montezemolo wanted the car to give its driver “the impression that he drives a Grand Prix car.”With just 106 miles from new, Broad Arrow is pleased to present this 1997 Ferrari F50 as the star lot of the upcoming Las Vegas Auction on 31 October. Surrounded by the energy and excitement of one of the automotive world’s most glamorous events, the offering of chassis 107165 is the closest collectors can get to taking delivery of a brand new F50. Powering an unforgettable analog driving experience is the 4.7-liter, 65-degree V12 developed from Ferrari's 3.5-liter Formula 1 unit, with five valves per cylinder, titanium connecting rods, and dry-sump lubrication. It produces 513 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque. As in a Grand Prix car, its cast-iron block was bolted directly to the back of a 225-pound carbon-fiber tub and carried the rear suspension. Pushrod-actuated double wishbones with electronically controlled damping, titanium hubs, unassisted steering, and Brembo brakes without servo assistance reinforced its connection to the F1 single-seater. Unlike Ferrari's F1 cars, however, which had used electro-hydraulic paddle shifters since 1989, the F50 kept a six-speed manual shifted through a traditional open gate, and it would be the last of Ferrari's halo cars to do so.Development testing involved Jean Alesi, Gerhard Berger, Niki Lauda, and chief tester Dario Benuzzi. Road & Track recorded zero to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, while Ferrari claimed top speed of 202 mph. Its testers observed that where most exotics merely hint at the racing experience, the F50 “slaps you in the face with all its visceral ingredients.” To avoid a repeat of the F40, which was built in 1,311 examples to meet its exploding demand, Ferrari built just 349 examples between 1995 and 1997 to ensure its exclusivity. The F50 offered here, chassis number 107165, is the 334th of those 349 cars, a late-production example delivered new via Maranello Sales Ltd. of Egham, Surrey, whose decal it still wears on the windshield. It is finished in Rosso Corsa over Nero leather with Rosso seat inserts, the combination most closely identified with the model. In the nearly three decades since it left the factory, it has covered an astonishing 106 miles. Ferrari built the F50 to be driven hard, and most surviving examples show at least some evidence of it, but this example has been entirely spared from the moment it was delivered. As a result, its paintwork, carbon-fiber cabin, leather upholstery, and switchgear are free of the fading, wear, and handling marks that even careful use brings. The car presents today much as it would have on the day Maranello Sales handed it over.As one would expect given its time-warp condition, its factory accessories have been preserved to the same standard. The car is offered with its removable hardtop and the original flight case that houses it whenever the F50 is run as a barchetta. Also present are its J.P. Tod's driving shoes and three-piece Schedoni luggage set with dust covers, along with its tool kit, wheel socket, and fuse, bulb, and belt kit. Its car, seat, and steering wheel covers in their Ferrari-branded bag finish the set. Items such as these were routinely separated from their cars over the years, lost between owners, or simply used, which makes the full complement alongside an F50 of this mileage truly exceptional. The F50 long ago made the passage from new car to blue-chip collectible, and the chance to buy one in delivery condition largely went with it. Chassis 107165 is the exception. Impeccably preserved and complete with its original delivery items, its offering at the second annual Las Vegas Auction on 31 October is as close as one can come today to taking delivery of a new F50. For the collector who wants the model exactly as Ferrari built it, a better-preserved or more complete example would be very difficult to find.Experience an extraordinary weekend where collector cars, luxury, and entertainment come together in the heart of Las Vegas. In partnership with Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, Broad Arrow’s 31 October auction will offer collectors the opportunity to acquire a range of sought-after modern Ferraris as part of a 75+ collector car lineup. From a Pre-War Ford to a Modern Exotic: Inside the Hale Collection, Available Exclusively on duPont REGISTRY Live

When duPont REGISTRY Live launched in mid-November 2025, the premise was straightforward: a No Reserve, 100 percent sell-through online auction platform built around the collector car market. Nearly a year on, that formula has produced multiple auction records, including the first eight-figure result in the history of online collector car auctions. Hypercars, exotics, and luxury cars have remained the staple, but the platform has also been quietly building something broader. After a successful run with the SFX Collection, which brought 10 modern performance cars to the platform in a single consignment, duPont REGISTRY Live now presents the prestigious Hale Collection: 12 exquisite automobiles curated by an anonymous collector with a clear and deliberate point of view. The collection also brings the platform into pre-war territory for the first time, another milestone as its auction docket continues to broaden. What makes the Hale Collection particularly interesting is the sheer range it covers. Of the eight cars currently open for bidding, the oldest is a 1931 Ford Model A Five-Window Coupe, while the newest is a one-owner 2006 Ford GT showing just 3,900 miles. Separated by 75 years, the pair spans a collection that traces several distinct eras of enthusiast motoring. It also marks the largest simultaneous offering of classic cars yet seen on duPont REGISTRY Live. Between them are recognizable snapshots of postwar American and European motoring. A 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air finished in India Ivory and Harvest Gold represents the exuberance of 1950s America, while a Twin Paxton-supercharged 1966 Shelby GT350 brings considerably more performance to the equation. British sports cars are represented by a Dart 347 V8-powered 1967 Sunbeam Tiger, a 1973 Triumph GT-6 Mark III, and a 1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500, while a Mocha Brown 1979 Porsche 911 SC adds an air-cooled German icon to the mix. 8 of the collection's 12 are currently available on duPont REGISTRY Live, all offered at No Reserve.  1931 Ford Model A Pre-War American Icon | Rumble Seat | Closing Tomorrow View Listing 1967 Sunbeam Tiger Dart 347 V8 | Midnight Blue | Closing Tomorrow View Listing  1973 Triumph GT-6 Mark III Triple Weber Carburetors | Carmine Red over Black | Closing Tomorrow View Listing  1979 Porsche 911 SC  Mocha Brown over a Brown leather interior | Fuchs Wheels | Closing Tomorrow View Listing  2006 Ford GT Tungsten Grey Metallic racing stripes over an Ebony leather interior | 3,915 Miles | Closing Tomorrow View Listing  1955 Chevrolet Bel Air India Ivory and Harvest Gold | 327-Cubic-Inch V8 | No Reserve View Listing  1966 Shelby GT350 Twin Supercharged | Sapphire Blue with White racing stripes | No Reserve View Listing  1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500 Blue over Tan | Removable Hardtop | No Reserve View Listing  If you're interested in financing any other exotic car, be sure to get pre-qualified.

Mecum Auctions Nashville 2026: Top 10 Results and Highlights

Last week, Mecum Auctions made its first major collector-car stop in Tennessee, taking over Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon for its inaugural Nashville auction. Held from September 22 through 26, the event brought roughly 1,750 vehicles featuring 17 collections, a substantial increase over the approximately 1,200 cars originally projected when the event was announced in March. The top result, however, came from Maranello. A 316-mile 2024 Ferrari 812 Competizione Aperta, closed at $4.05 million, selling after the auction through Mecum’s Bid Goes On department. It accounted for more than a third of the $10.5 million generated by the Top 10 alone. The 812 Competizione featured in our recent list about top front-engine V12 Ferraris. Ford occupied much of the remainder of the top-end results. The 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra “Nobody’s Fool” IMSA road-racing car brought $935,000. Built by Roush Racing and driven by Paul Newman at the 1995 Rolex 24 at Daytona, the Mustang won the GTS-1 class and finished third overall. Its race history, period bodywork, and association with Newman give it a level of provenance that separates it from the production-based cars elsewhere in the sale. Another Roush-built Mustang finished close behind: The 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra SCCA Trans-Am racer, which sold for $825,000. Tommy Kendall drove the car during his dominant 1997 season, when he recorded 11 consecutive victories on his way to the Trans-Am championship. A trio of Ford GTs followed. A track-only 2020 Ford GT Mk II,  #14 of only 45 produced and showing 96 miles, brought $792,000. It was followed by two first-generation Ford GTs: a red 70-mile 2005 example at $770,000 and a 1,276-mile 2006 car at $737,000, respectively. The strongest custom result came from a 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer, which sold for $693,000. Built around a Roadster Shop chassis and suspension and powered by a supercharged 416-cubic-inch V8 rated at 1,160 horsepower, the truck showed that substantial money continues to follow highly developed American restomods. A 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429, one of approximately 850 produced for the model year, brought $616,000. European machinery was relatively scarce among the leading results beyond the headline Ferrari. A 1965 Aston Martin DB5, chassis DB52025R, equipped with a rare factory sliding sunroof, sold for $605,000, while a 2014 Ferrari 458 Spider with 3,774 miles brought $533,500, rounding out the top 10. Not every high-profile consignment found a buyer. A 2019 Koenigsegg Regera, one of 80 made, reached $2.9 million; a Ferrari 488 Pista Piloti hit $1.95 million; a Marc Philipp Gemballa Marsien hit $1.55 million; and the much-anticipated 2026 Aston Martin Valhalla hit $1.3 million. Collectively, Mecum's inaugural Nashville auction achieved $73 million total sales, and a 75% sell-through rate. The package combined the first retail-production 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT with a custom 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SRT-10. Barrett-Jackson waived all fees and commissions, with the full hammer price split equally between Folds of Honor and the UFC Foundation. The charity sale took place on September 11, when Barrett-Jackson also marked the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with a moment of silence and the singing of the national anthem. This result also pushed the auction company’s cumulative charity fundraising total beyond $173 million. The highest conventional vehicle result came from a 2019 Ford GT Lightweight Carbon Series, Lot #742, which brought $968,000. UFC’s Dana White Secures Two Ram Trucks With a $1.5 Million Charity Bid at Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas Auction

UFC President and CEO Dana White placed the winning bid of $1.5 million for two one-of-one Ram performance trucks on day two of Barrett-Jackson's Las Vegas Auction this past Friday, having arrived to help drive bidding on the charity lot. He joined Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson on the auction block as the trucks were offered as one lot. Bidding opened at $600,000 and kept climbing, quickly getting into seven figures before the gavel finally dropped at $1.5 million. White, who said he would also participate, was the winning bidder. The auction took place on September 11, exactly 25 years after the 2001 attacks. Jackson reflected on the date's significance, noting the lives lost and the first responders and others who came to their aid, which made the occasion especially meaningful for supporting military and first-responder families. “Barrett-Jackson has a long history of uniting automotive passion with incredible charitable causes. Partnering with global powerhouses like Ram, UFC and RealTruck allows us to amplify our fundraising efforts. Having Dana White bring his unmatched energy to our Las Vegas auction.”  - Craig Jackson, Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO. The centerpiece of the pair is the first retail-production (Lot #3000), a 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT, VIN 001, pulled off the line for a one-off treatment by Ram's design team and SRT's Direct Connection group. In standard form, its supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 produces 777 horsepower, enough for 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds and a targeted 170-mph top speed. This truck is also equipped with a Direct Connection 3.0-liter supercharger upgrade capable of more than 900 horsepower, plus a Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust, along with the option to choose a custom paint scheme. The second truck was (Lot #3001) a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SRT-10 customized by RealTruck and built by ProMotorsports with Mark Trostle, vice president of Ram, SRT, and Mopar Design. Powered by the Dodge Viper’s 8.3-liter V10, the SRT-10 produces 500 horsepower and famously established a Guinness World Record for production-pickup speed at 155 mph. RealTruck further added that the SRT-10 served as the design inspiration for the Rumble Bee.  “The opportunity to support these great causes while bringing together two of the most exciting trucks in Ram history is an honor. Together, they celebrate American performance, American ingenuity and the resilient spirit that has carried this country through every challenge” - Tim Kuniskis, head of American Brands and SRT Performance at Stellantis. Barrett-Jackson waived all fees and commissions, with 100 percent of the hammer price divided equally between the Folds of Honor Foundation and the UFC Foundation. Folds of Honor provides educational scholarships to families of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders, while the UFC Foundation’s share will support Hispanic charities. Gooding Christie’s to Auction Steve McQueen’s Ferrari 275 NART Spider at Inaugural Rétromobile New York

Following Gooding Christie’s record-breaking Pebble Beach sale at Monterey Car Week, attention now turns to the next major chapter: the inaugural Rétromobile New York Auctions this November, where the auction house will offer a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4*S NART Spider first owned by Hollywood actor Steve McQueen, with a pre-sale estimate of $15 million to $20 million. Chassis 10453 is one of the headline lots among early consignments of the upcoming auction, set to take place at the Javits Center in New York on November 20 and 21 alongside the first North American edition of Rétromobile.  Completed in September 1967 and invoiced to Luigi Chinetti Motors, chassis 10453 was sold to McQueen through Hollywood Sport Cars. It left Maranello in Blu Sera, or Evening Blue, making it the first of only two NART Spiders originally finished in that color. McQueen’s ownership was relatively brief, but he left the Ferrari unmistakably his own. He had it repainted in a darker metallic blue, retrimmed the seats with a distinctive stitching pattern, and made several other cosmetic changes. Following an accident on Pacific Coast Highway, he sent the car to Junior Conway, the Los Angeles bodyman associated with the Barris shop and Hollywood’s custom-car scene, for repairs. Conway’s connection to the car would become part of NART Spider history in its own right. Decades later, he was commissioned to restore another example, chassis 10749, specifically because of his earlier work on McQueen’s 10453. By 1971, the Ferrari had passed to J. David Kopf of Tujunga, California. It joined its current owner’s collection in 1986 through Long Island Ferrari dealer Grand Prix SSR and has remained there for the past four decades. Rather than being returned to factory specification, 10453 retains its matching-numbers engine and transaxle, original Scaglietti body, metallic blue finish, and the custom details commissioned during McQueen’s ownership. “Of all the high-profile cars owned by the iconic Steve McQueen, this NART Spider remains the most elusive and mythical.” -  David Gooding, President, Gooding Christie’s That preservation is central to what makes this particular NART Spider so compelling. Many important collector cars have undergone restoration, a process that can erase precisely the personal touches that distinguish one example from another. A concours-correct 10453 would still be a beautiful NART Spider, but this one is McQueen’s. The ‘King of Cool’ rarely left his cars exactly as they came. His 1956 Jaguar XKSS, one of just 16 built and now part of the Petersen Automotive Museum collection, was also repainted and retrimmed to his taste. His 250 GT Lusso became another Ferrari closely associated with him, while the 275 GTB/4 that followed the damaged NART Spider was refinished in Chianti Red. The NART Spider emerged from the broader Ferrari 275 family, but owes its existence largely to Luigi Chinetti, one of the most consequential figures in Ferrari’s early history. Chinetti won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times as a driver, including Ferrari’s first outright victory there in 1949, before becoming the marque’s first U.S. importer. He founded the North American Racing Team (NART) in 1958, and NART would go on to field the Ferrari 250 LM that won Le Mans outright in 1965. Chinetti believed there was an American market for an open version of the four-cam 275 GTB/4 and persuaded Ferrari to build one. The original plan called for 25 cars, but the NART Spider’s $14,400 price was substantially higher than the $9,200 asked for a 275 GTB at the time. Demand proved limited, production stopped at just 10 examples, and chassis 10453 was the sixth.  Their rarity has since placed the NART Spiders among the most valuable road-going Ferraris. Its place in popular culture extends beyond McQueen. Chassis 09437, the first example built, raced at Sebring before appearing alongside McQueen and Faye Dunaway in The Thomas Crown Affair, a history explored in greater detail by both Petrolicious and Cavallino. “Forever linked to its previous owner, Hollywood legend Steve McQueen, this brilliant Ferrari 275 NART Spider is the ultimate icon, uniting two global legends in a single machine.” - Ferrari historian and author Marcel Massini  Chassis 10453 itself appeared at the 1996 Louis Vuitton Classic at the Rockefeller Center and at La Bella Macchina: The Art of Ferrari at the Chrysler Museum of Art in 2003. Beyond those appearances, its public record has remained sufficiently limited that enthusiasts have spent years piecing together its history on FerrariChat. Now, nearly 30 years after it last appeared in Manhattan, chassis 10453 returns to the city, and this time, it will cross a public auction block for the first time. Also among the early Ferrari consignments for Rétromobile New York are a 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB, estimated at $2.25 million to $2.5 million, and a 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso, estimated at $1.4 million to $1.6 million, both featuring Scaglietti coachwork.  View Listing See Steve McQueen’s NART Spider in person at Rétromobile New York, which runs November 19 through 22 at the Javits Center.
